Dearly beloved in Christ, praise the Lord and welcome to the Word for today.
“In Him Was Yes”
2 Corinthians 1:19 (NKJV)
“For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, by me, Silvanus, and Timothy; was not Yes and No, but in Him was Yes.”
In a world full of uncertainties, shifting opinions, and unreliable promises, how comforting it is to know that in Jesus Christ, there is no inconsistency; only Yes. Paul reminded the Corinthian believers that Christ is not a mixture of “Yes and No.” He is not fickle or indecisive. In Him, there is a firm, unwavering affirmation of God’s promises.
Paul, Silvanus (Silas), and Timothy preached a Christ who is constant and faithful. Christ is the divine confirmation that what God has spoken will come to pass.
This verse invites us to rest in the assurance that Jesus is God’s “Yes” to salvation, healing, restoration, and eternal hope. When God says, “I will never leave you nor forsake you,” Jesus is the guarantee of that truth. When He says, “I have plans to give you a future and a hope,” Christ is the fulfillment of that promise.
So today, whatever doubts you face; about your future, your calling, or your prayers, remember this: In Christ, there is no confusion, no contradiction, no compromise. His “Yes” is eternal, unshakable, and full of grace.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for being the unchanging “Yes” of God. When life feels uncertain, help me stand firm in Your promises. Strengthen my faith to trust that every word You speak will come to pass. Amen.
